Jordan Mills & Chef Jezza Morrison
Brewery Owner/Head Brewer & Guest Chef
Jordan Mills started brewing at an early age where he first began home brewing in his parents garage at just 20 years of age. He then went on to work at Mill Street for a few years before deciding to start his own brewery journey and creating Rouge River Brewery in Markham. Throughout the early years of his brewing career Jordan became one of the few Advanced Cicerone certified beer sommeliers in Canada. Jump to 2023, and several national and provincial brewery awards later, Jordan and his Rouge River Brewery team are pouring not only exceptional craft beers, but also building a key community hub in Markham by hosting vendor markets, art workshops, DJ dance parties, trivia nights, live music and more! Rouge River Brewery recently won the 2023 Platinum Award for Best Bar & Pub in Markham.
Now, Rouge River Brewery and Kindred Pizza have joined forces to create a special collaborative pizza, combining Rouge River’s signature NY-style dough with Kindred’s delicious, locally inspired toppings. This unique creation brings the best of both worlds to Markham’s food and drink scene!
Jezza Morrison’s love for Detroit Style Pizza began in 2016 with a single bite that sparked an obsession. He dedicated himself to mastering the art of baking and fermentation, developing a dough recipe honed over nearly a decade of research. After running popular ‘Speakeasy’ pop-ups from his home, Jezza launched Kindred in 2023 with his business partner Samantha, combining nearly 20 years of hospitality experience to create flavours inspired by Ontario’s diversity.
In 2024, Jezza teamed up with Rouge River Brewery, sharing a vision of sustainability, locality, and community. Alongside Jordan Mills, Brewery Owner and Head Brewer, Jezza crafts unforgettable experiences where great food and drink come together to celebrate Markham’s vibrant culture.
